Mandii Brown is a graduate from the University of West Alabama. She is currently a counselor and cognitive behavior specialist amongst the incarcerated population of Nashville, TN. She serves on the board of Dream Initiatives, bringing awareness of recidivism and giving second chances to those with compromising background. She is the on the capacity building action team and policy advisory board for Nashville Thrives Coalition. She is also a member of Black Mental Health Village and serves on the HBCU Initiative. She works with numerous non-profits, has her own mental health platform “Well What Had Happened Was” offering an outlet for those wanting resources or a place to safely tell their stories. She has her own mental health brand and life coaching business under “The Relatable Counselor” LLC.
She is a mother of 3 and in her spare time she loves to travel alone and escape even if it’s for a day.
